Quality matters!

‪#‎LACEMAKING‬ is such a beautiful intense process and time consuming
For all of you who think ‪#‎lace‬ , ‪#‎crochet‬, ‪#‎knitting‬, ‪#‎irishcrochet‬, ‪#‎tatting‬, etc... is fast and easy think again. I am tired of explaining why ‪#‎handmade‬i tems cost that much!

First of all high quality ‪#‎yarn‬ or ‪#‎thread‬ is expensive, let's not talk about if you pick an ‪#‎organic‬ ‪#‎fiber‬.
Second of all it;s #handmade, a ‪#‎customorder‬, and takes time.
Third of all if you want to be an ‪#‎original‬ you pay the price for it!
‪#‎YOLO‬ so spend some money and quality on yourself!

These handmade pieces, keep longer and will never go out of style. Classic #LACE, ‪#‎KNIT‬ or #CROCHET will never die out! Look at the‪#‎hautecouture‬ houses... it always comes back!
I am sorry but true fiber and textile artists can;t compete with mass production when it comes to #crochet, #knit, and #lace, ‪#‎pointlace‬, etc.... if you want wearable art you have to understand that it's a privilege not a right!

If you agree, please share and make people understand that #handmade is being #original and that #quality matters!

  1. Very well said, my dear friend. In general homemade crafts are involve a great deal of time and various degrees of material costs. That the public should ever expect them to be the same price as mass market, made in China items says a great deal about how much mainstream society has loss touch with retail reality.
