Happy Easter.....

I wish you all a very Happy Easter!
Frohe Ostern!
Paste fericit!

This is a very well known technique to colour your Easter eggs in Romania.
Using natural dying products like onion shells, beetroot or other strong natural vegetables, bringing them to a boil and adding vinegar to set it.

All you need to do now is getting creative with the fauna and flora in your garden. Pick the most creative shapes and stick them carefully to the egg that is placed in old women's stockings. Tie them on both ends and place them in the water.

Boil like you would boil hard eggs. E voilĂ  after a while you have the most unique eggs.
Make them shiny with lard and they are picture perfect!

Now it;s time for an egg-tapping competition!

You tap the egg and make a wish! If your eggs cracks first your wish will come true!

Give it a try it's so much fun!

XOXO,

Lorena

I love the color of the beetroot dyed eggs, and it looks like so much fun to find fun stuff from the garden for the designs. =0)
